Evidences for the Christian Faith
I was talking to my youngest son the other day about creation and evolution and how both by nature of their claims must be believed by faith for those who accept one or the other. We talked about how none of us were here to see creation or evolution happen, and we can’t repeat either one in a strict scientific sense. Therefore, they can both be considered systems of faith. It was a great discussion and I was amazed at his questions and logic.
Christianity is taken by faith—but it is a reasonable faith. In other words there is a ton of evidence that supports its claims. We are never asked to check our brains at the door and take a blind leap of faith. That’s stupidity. We are asked to accept the claims of Scripture by faith—but it is faith based on reason; a factual faith. This is the study of Christian Apologetics.
